(Studio) Albuquerque's (NM) plans for hero's welcome for 3 residents who made 1st successful transatlantic balloon crossing noted. Balloonists' meeting with people in whose field they landed reported.

(Evreux, France) Balloonists' landing in fields of Roget Coquerel and his mother Rachel and resulting damage to barley, corn and potato crops described. Coquerels' mixed feelings about landing stated. [Rachel COQUEREL - (in French) describes feelings at having history made in her fields.] Landing noted as taking place near Normandy town of Evreux. Balloonists' return to farm and welcome in town described. Ben Abruzzo's promise to Coquerels that damages will be paid reported.
