(DC) Details of mediated contract settlement for postal workers listed. [Mail Carriers Union spokesperson Lonnie JOHNSON - says members have no choice but to accept, since arbitration is binding. Is unhappy.] Possibility of incr. in postal rates noted.

(Studio) Firing of Wichita firemen who went on strike earlier in week and present firing of policemen who go on strike in sympathy with firemen reported.

(Wichita, Kansas) Details about firemen's strike and about situation with police joining in sympathy and demanding more money given. [Police chief Richard LaMUNYON - says officers are doing what they think is right, as he is. Gets no enjoyment out of doing job.] National Guard reported on duty at fire stations.
