(Damascus, Syria) Details of Vance's arrival, at same airport where hard-liner Libyan President Muammar el-Kadhafi was leaving given. Talks between Vance and Assad detailed. Syria's agreement to join with Arabs trying to isolate Egypt, Saudis' refusal to allow Vance to make public statement and Jordanian King Hussein's criticism of Camp David agreements outlined.
