(DC) Labor Secretary Ray Marshall's comments on unemployment rate drop since President Carter took office reported [MARSHALL - comments on labor attitude toward administration] AFL-CIO president George Meany's meeting with President Carter noted. [MEANY - comments.] AFL-CIO sources' report that Carter promised Meany chance to air views prior to administration announcements of policy with regard to labor stated. Meany's consideration of Carter in comparison to Calvin Coolidge mentioned.
