(Studio) Beginning of trial of former Nazis, accused of sending French Jews to death camps during World War II reported.

(Cologne, West Germany) Demonstrators outside cthse. said primarily relatives of those Jews killed in Nazi concentration camps; films shown. Protester Elaine Samuels noted survivor of Auschwitz; her presence here said 1st time in Germany since then. Defendants noted as Colonel Kurt Lichka, former deputy commander of Gestapo in France; Herbert Hagen, former SS major; and Ernst Heinrichsohn. Films shown; their occupations in West Germany at time of arrest mentioned. Criticism of prosecution with regard to time taken to prepare case noted. Chgs. against defendants and prosecution's evidence detailed. Demonstration by French Jews shown.
