(DC) Agriculture Secretary Bob Bergland's testimony to congress hearing stated. [BERGLAND - says family farm structure not in danger of extinction.] Bergland's earlier statements noted; Congmen.'s response to Bergland reported [Representative Richard NOLAN - thinks Secretary should apologize to farmers.] Comments of farmer at hearing stated. [Red. Thomas FOLEY - cautions nonwitnesses against speaking out.] [BERGLAND - says no personal insult was intended.] [Representative Floyd FITHIAN - comments.] Description of hearing given. Bergland cited as giving farmers little encouragement with regard to aid from administration
