(Studio) 1977 attempted ban of saccharin recalled. New study by National Academy of Sciences announced.

(DC) Study reported to advise continued sales of saccharin but to include warning label with regard to link with cancer in laboratory animals. Report also noted to incl. recommendation to Congress with regard to revision of all food safety laws; present laws examined. [Committee member Dr. Clifford GROBSTEIN - comments on recommendations.] Opposition by consumer groups to new regulations outlined.
