(Studio) Unsuccessful attempt by federal and state authorities to arrest several Hell's Angels reported.

(San Francisco, California) Arrest of Angels leader Sonny Barger and wife Sharon on federal racketeering chgs. shown. reported Escape of several gang members just prior to arrival of authorities detailed; films shown. Federal grand jury indictment outlined; those Hell's Angels named listed on screen. All said chgd. with drug trafficking as well as other crimes, include murder chg against James Brandes. Murders of Margot Compton and her twin daughters 2 weeks after Compton testified against Hell's Angels in prostitution case recalled; Compton murders said still unsolved and not named in indictment. 17 other murders police believe are tied to gang also not named in indictment. Angels takeover of legitimate business examined; mentioned is Siesta Catering Company in San Leandro. Films shown. California police criticism of federal government's slowness in dealing with mafia-like org. of Angels noted.
