(New Orleans, Louisiana) Several Louisiana politicians and an organized crime figure said paid bribes by FBI agents posing as insurance agents. Democrat Lieutenant Governor Jim Fitzmorris, losing gubernatorial candidate Louis Lambert, Governor Edwin Edwards, alleged organized crime leader Carlos Marcello listed as being investigated by FBI.

(DC) No. of federal officials also said involved in this FBI investigation. Planned meeting of top organized crime leaders to carve up United States between them noted and compared to Appalachia, New York, meeting of 1957.
