(Studio) Report on Arkansas Senate race.
REPORTER: Frank Reynolds

(Arkansas) Senator J. William Fulbright very well known. Campaigns among farmers at cattle auction. His opponent is Republican Charles Bernard, 41, farmer and busman. [BERNARD - campaigns with bystander.] Speaks at meeting [BERNARD - says Fulbright forgotten Arkansas people.] Fulbright stresses getting fed. money for Arkansas River development project. He speaks at dedication ceremony. [FULBRIGHT - says someday men will agree modern warfare not point of God's plan. Cost of this project would only run Vietnam war 2 weeks] Arkansas hawkish, but doveish Fulbright admired.
