(Studio) Oil drilling reported beginning today in Georges Bank, off coast of New England; concern of conservationists and fishing industry recalled.

(Georges Bank) Exploratory drilling noted beginning after 7 years of court battles; efforts of Exxon's Alaskan Star and Shell's Zapata Saratoga to find oil examined. Films shown. [Shell executive O.J. SHIRLEY - is pleased at beginning.] [Fisherman Jack FERRARA - expresses concern over pollution.] Bomb threat on 1 rig mentioned; anticipated time involved if oil is found before it reaches the consumer noted. Amt. spent by Shell in Baltimore Canyon off New Jersey and results recalled.
