(Studio) Boxing promoter Ross Fields reported indicted today for attempting to defraud west coast bank.

(Los Angeles, California) [March 20, 1981, FIELDS - claims he was misled.] Fields, alias Harold Smith, noted maintaining his innocence; indictment against Fields and 2 former Wells Fargo employees examined. Fields' role at Muhammad Ali Professional Sports recalled. Fields' associate Ben. Lewis noted disappearing when bank began its investigation; Fields mentioned in jail on other chgs.
