(Studio) Vermont attorney general reported investigating allegations of child abuse among members of religious cult, The Northeast Kingdom Community Church.

(Burlington, VT) Cult leader Elbert Eugene Spriggs' instructions to followers regarding discipline of children noted; photos shown. Former cult member Juan Matatau's efforts to recover kidnapped daughter, Lydia, allegedly taken to Europe by Spriggs and wife Marsha, examined. [MATATAU - recalls Spriggs' teachings to his daughter.] Nova Scotia police officials' recovery of Lydia from Matatau's wife Cynthia noted. [SHERIFF - presents Cynthia Matatau with custody papers.] [MATATAU - fears for safety due to situation.] Vermont judge said deciding Lydia's custody case in 2 weeks.
