[George McGOVERN - believes Mondale will be hurt most.] [Walter MONDALE - anticipates campaign against Jackson.] [Mayor Harold WASHINGTON - implies not supporting Jackson.] Less-prominent black pols. such as New Jersey county board member Shirley Turner said enthusiastically behind Jackson. [JACKSON - feels his time has come.]
