(Studio) Eastern Airlines and unions reported reaching agreement in labor dispute.

(Miami, Florida) Details of agreement to cooperate in solving Eastern's economy problems examined; president Frank Borman noted promising not to file bankruptcy in exchange for unions shelving their contract disputes until results of independent audit of airline is completed. [BORMAN, Machinists Union spokesperson Charles BRYAN, Flight Attendants Union spokesperson Patricia FINK, Air Line Pilots Association spokesperson George SMITH - cite need for cooperative approach to problems.] Eastern's loss so far this year and upcoming meeting between Borman and lenders discussed. [Eastern labor consultant William USERY - notes need for airline to rebuild consumer confidence.]
