(DC) State Department reported sending department safe to state prison for repair without first removing top secret documents; Secretary of State George Shultz noted ordering full investigation. [State Department spokesperson Alan ROMBERG - doesn't know if all documents have been retrieved.] Sensitivity of classified documents, involving covert aid to anti-Sandinista guerrillas in Nicaragua, USSR missile strength and deployment, escalation of fighting in Lebanon, noted. [Senator Charles MATHIAS - condemns negligence of affair.] Classified documents said found today during search of prison.
