(Chicago, Illinois) EPA's relaxation of dioxin standards for economy and political reasons examined; memo from dioxin coordinator Conrad Kleveno outlining motive behind new standard to former Environmental Protection Agency assistant administration Rita Lavelle shown, quoted. Dioxin contaminated areas at Love Canal, still being cleaned up, said falling below new level of contamination.
