(Studio) Derailment of Santa Fe train north of Dallas detailed. Recent derailments and discoveries of defective wheels in some noted; government takes action.

(DC) National Trans. Safety Board's recommendation reported that all wheels such as those on cars involved in Waverly, Tennessee, and Bowling Green, Kentucky, derailments be banned immediately from cars carrying dangerous materials; earlier report of consideration of this move noted. Films shown. Other conditions of proposed rules cited. FRA must enact rules; RR industry reluctance to ban wheels immediately, since they are phasing them out, reported.
