Impact on Democrat race should Mondale win tonight's contests cited. Efforts of Democratic national chairperson Charles Manatt and Robert Strauss to form united front prior to Democratic Convention considered.

[HART - feels burden is on Mondale rather than himself; claims Mondale's nomination will possibly be tainted.] Hart's continued criticism of organized labor's relationship with Mondale noted; his possible challenge to Mondale delegate count and efforts to have Federal Election Commission declare those delegates illegal noted. [HART - is trying to save Democratic party]
