(Studio) Israel's celebration of 30th anniversary as nation noted. Prime Min. Begin's trip across US, beginning with talks in Washington, DC with President Carter on Israeli role in Mideast peace negotiations, reported.

(DC) Begin's meeting with Secretary of State Vance and discussions of Mideast peace talks and United States arms sales to Saudi Arabia. [BEGIN - says Israeli position on arms sales is known and that he and Vance have agreed to differ.] [VANCE - agrees.] Carter-Begin meeting outlined. [CARTER - states that United States and Israeli leaders may differ at times, but that United States won't waver from friendship and support for Israel.] [BEGIN - cites feeling that United States and Israel are inseparable allies.] Carter's announcement of plans to seek establishment of memorial to holocaust in United States noted.
