(Studio) Several members of United States Olympic cyclist team reported undergoing blood doping procedure before last summer's Olympics.

(Colorado Spgs., Colorado) No. medals won by United States cyclists last summer recalled; team physician Dr. Thomas Dickson's acknowledgement that members took blood transfusions to improve their performances and his rationale for delayed admission noted. [DICKSON - considers blood doping and steroids a tragedy.] Coach Eddy Borysewicz mentioned allegedly approving of-procedure; medalists Steve Hegg and Rebecca Twigg allegedly among those undergoing blood packing. [Team member John BECKMAN - defs. process.] US and International Olympic committee regulations pertaining to process explained. [Dr. Herman FALSETTI - defs. giving transfusions to athletes.] Both United States and International Olympic cmtes. said investigating. [USOC executive director Colonel Don MILLER - thinks responsible indivs. should be held accountable since blood doping is banned by USOC.]
