(Studio) Islamic Jihad terrorists reported claiming recent kidnapping of Father Lawrence Jenco in Beirut, Lebanon.

(DC) Islamic Jihad reported claiming Jenco and other kidnapped Americans will be held until all United States citizens leave Lebanon; organization, associated with Syria and Iran, recalled claiming responsibility for all major terrorist attacks against United States interests in Lebanon. Assistant secretary state Richard Murphy's recent Mideast tour to confer with allies there on kidnapped Americans mentioned. [State Department spokesperson Alan ROMBERG - claims United States will not back down.] American Univ. president Malcolm Kerr recalled murdered in Beirut; American Univ. Prof. Peter Kilburn, Reverend Benjamin Weir, William Buckley and Jeremy Levin mentioned among those kidnapped in Beirut. [Lucille LEVIN - believes husband is still alive.]
