(Santa Barbara, California) President Reagan reported using weekly radio address to garner support for incrd. covert United States aid to anti-Nicaraguan guerrillas. [Voice of REAGAN - praises rebels.] His speech denouncing Sandinista government said designed to pressure Congress into approving aid for guerrillas. [Guerrilla leader Adolfo CALERO - claims United States aid will offset USSR support for Sandinistas.] President's effort to describe Sandinista government as involved in criminal and communist activities noted. [Representative Stephen SOLARZ - believes continued United States efforts to overthrow Nicaraguan government are inappropriate.]
