(Studio) House approval of bill to give tax credits for school tuition, include amendment to allow credits for elementary and secondary private and parochial schools, reported.

(DC) House bill on college tuition tax credit detailed. [Representative Chas. VANIK - says bill is designed to help those excluded from all kinds of benefit programs.] President Carter's opposition to bill noted; film shown. [CARTER - states opposition; will veto bill if Congress passes it.] Details of tax credit for grades 1-12 in private and parochial schools listed. Senator support for bill noted; predictions of some that Carter will be reluctant to veto it and reasons stated.
