(Studio: Tom Brokaw) New United States Secretary of Commerce C. William Verity reported meeting with Japanese Prime Min. Noboru Takeshita. Verity reported telling Takeshita that Japanese people had lost credibility by failing to keep promises regarding opening market to fors. and then delaying. Takeshita said turning down Verity's request for possibility of opening Japanese construction trade to foreign companies
