Senator staff members reported asserting Meese's financial advisor West Franklyn Chinn invested more money than Meese had in account and gave him profits possibly belonging to other clients. Senator Carl Levin reported requesting Govt. Ethics Ofc. to rule whether or not Meese received profits as illegal gifts.
