[UEBERROTH - comments on deal's collapse.] [BAKES - comments.] Deal noted collapsing when Lorenzo refused to allow a court-appointed trustee to serve during interim. Unions noted wanting former Defense Secretary Frank Carlucci to serve as trustee. Trans World Airlines, Inc. (TWA) chairperson Carl Icahn noted possibly submitting bid to buy Eastern.
