(Pentagon: Fred Francis) Intelligence sources reported saying that a growing Kuwaiti resistance force, supported by CIA and Green Berets and operating out of Saudi Arabia, is going on daily guerrilla raids inside occupied Kuwait; details given; scenes shown of recruitment in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. [Kuwaiti ambassador Saud Nasir al-SABAH - comments.] [Former director, National Security Agency, retired Lieutenant General William ODOM - says United States can't cross into territory.] Administration reported telling allies of delay in arrival in Saudi Arabia of Army's main battle tanks. ...... (Studio: Tom Brokaw) White House noted receiving another unofficial suggestion of peace negotiations with Iraq. Officials reported searching wreckage of United States Air Force cargo plane which was bound for Persian Gulf and crashed after takeoff from Ramstein Air Force Base, West Germany; volunteer reservists noted killed; scenes shown. Iraqi ambassador to United States Mohamed Sadiq al-Mashat reported saying foreign men, as well as women and children, could leave Iraq if United States promises not to attack. Report introduced.

(Baghdad: Keith Miller) Airlift of foreign women and children from Iraq reported scheduled for tomorrow morning. [After meeting with Iraqi officials, British ambassador Harold WALKER - says it's a time for patience.] Iraqi President Saddam Hussein reported appearing in interview on French television; scenes shown; hostage Elie McCarvel mentioned. Police reported rounding up more Americans in Baghdad, Iraq.
