(Studio: Garrick Utley) Today reported to be World AIDS Day; WHO prediction of the number of people who could have the AIDS virus by the turn of the century noted. Report introduced.

(New York: Robert Bazell) Precautions taken to prevent the spread of AIDS between health care workers and patients featured. [American Dental Association Dr. Leslie SELDIN - comments on using sterile techniques.] Kimberly Bergalis and four other patients recalled contracting AIDS from their dentist, Dr. David Acer. Refusal of major medical and dental groups to provide the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) with a list they requested of procedures which could possibly transmit the HIV virus noted; federal health officials reported saying the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is abandoning the proposed list. [AIDS Action Council Jeff LEVI - comments.]

(Denver: John Ferrugia) Case of a nurse, "Sherre", who was accidentally stuck with a needle which could have infected her with the HIV virus, featured. [Sherre, her HUSBAND - comment.]
