(Studio) Supreme Court noted to hear case with regard to whether states can continue to give veterans' preference when hiring in state jobs.

(DC) 49 states and federal government reported to give preference to vets in hiring. Films shown. Issue of discrimination said to have arisen due to predominance of men in armed forces. [Helen FEENEY - says it's discrimination. Comments on vets' preference.] Feeney's lawsuit against state of Massachusetts after she was passed over for civil service job noted. Arguments before Supreme Court by assistant Massachusetts attorney general and Feeney's attorney detailed. Comments by Justice John Paul Stevens quoted. Outlook for Court decision given.
