(London: Dennis Murphy) Efforts of runner Butch Reynolds to gain permission to participate in the upcoming United States Olympic trials and summer Olympic Games featured; the 1990 drug test which he contests falsely revealed that he used steroids recalled; scenes shown of him competing. [REYNOLDS - comments.] Scenes shown of Reynolds in Columbus, Ohio, where he appeared in federal court today to ask a judge to set aside the ban on his ability to compete. [Toxicologist David BLACK - questions validity of Reynolds' drug test.] [REYNOLDS - denies his sample tested positive for steroids.] [International Amateur Athletic Federation Istvan GYULAI - says Reynolds is jeopardizing the eligibility of other American athletes.]
