(Studio) Fighting between troops of Anastasio Somoza and Sandinist guerrillas reported preventing evacuation of American personal and dependents.

(Managua, Nicaragua) United States citizens said waiting at American embassy for lull in fighting so they can leave. [PEOPLE - comment on situation.] Postponement of evacuation due to plane's inability to land and movement of Americans to ambassador's residence detailed; films shown. Situation in Managua outlined; exs. of wounded citizens, include 8 month old child, given, shown. Somoza quoted with regard to some guerrillas from Panama fighting with arms provided by Cuba. Organization of American States mentioned.
