(Studio: Tom Brokaw) Los Angeles Children's Hospital Dr. Richard Koch, a 74-year-old physician who does work on a genetic disease called PKU that if not treated causes mental retardation, featured. [KOCH - talks about his work and his desperate search to locate his former PKU patients.] The simple treatment for PKU patients and the later research on maternal PKU outlined. [PKU patient Jerlyn EVELYN - comments on the genetic problems suffered by their children due to PKU treatment.]
