[CARTER - says has called for sense of shared purpose.] Agreement reached by administration and labor outlined on screen. [AFL-CIO secretary treasurer Lane KIRKLAND - discusses administration's not involving union prior to now.] AFL-CIO, Teamsters and UAW (United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America) said now endorsing administration's economic policy.
