(Studio) Little fighting. Chairperson Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Earle Wheeler, back from 4-day Vietnam tour and says lull could mean new attacks. Wants to wait before calling lull reduction in fighting.

(DC) Source says warning means we're hedging our bet, but troops coming out. Nixon tells 2,000 foreign exchange Mississippi students. [NIXON - says by 2000 we'll have visited worlds with life. Be glad when all peoples can walk and talk together. Space flight simulation made me realize it's time for optimism.] Nixon leaves for around world tour to reassure Asian cntrys. Nixon to assess chances for friendship with E. Europe cntrys. in Romania.
