(Studio) Nixon to fly to Philippines tonight. Ted Koppel talks to President Ferdinand Marcos about his troops in Vietnam.

(Manila, Philippines) [MARCOS - says his troops aren't combat and won't pull them out now. Want to know why United States pulling out and who will take their place. Won't let our troops be chewed up by VC. After talk with Nixon, will talk of security. Taking 10 times more precautions for Nixon than when LBJ here. Our demonstrations not as bad as US, Japan, Indonesia, and Europe.]
