(Los Angeles, California) Expectation that Reagan will begin to name cabinet this week stated. Reagan shown attending church service. [REAGAN - comments with regard to cabinet announcements.) Possible appointed of Alexander Haig as Secretary of State considered. His role in Watergate noted. Reagan foreign policy advsr. Richard Allen's statement on ABC "Issues and Answers" quoted.

[Reagan transition director Edwin MEESE - talks about effect of ethics in government act and conflict of interest regulations on cabinet selection process.) Reasons for refusals to serve in cabinet by Walter Wriston, William Simon, George Shultz and Anne Armstrong given. Carter's problems with appting. Theodore Sorenson as CIA director and his withdrawal of that appointed recalled.
