(Chicago: Kevin Tibbles) World War II veteran Vern Swanson's fulfillment of a promise made after his best friend Jack Beckwith was killed in the Battle of the Bugle in Belgium 57 years before featured; details given of the recovery of the bodies of Beckwith and two other soldiers, which were brought to the United States for burial. [SWANSON - says he and Beckwith knew each other as well as they knew themselves; says he promised that Beckwith's body would be brought home.] [Searcher Jean-Louis SEEL - says he found the body with a metal detector.] [Beckwith's half-brother Sam OLMSTEAD - says he never heard of such dedication.] [Sister of World War II soldier Saul Kokotovic Mary Kay MASEL - says Swanson is an "angel".]
