(Detroit, Michigan) Outgoing speech by Republican national committee co-chairperson Mary Crisp examined. [CRISP - says the party is suffering from internal sickness re: rights for women.) Crisp noted stripped of convention role in June memo from chairperson Bill Brock. [CRISP - says recent actions could cause party's defeat.] Response to her speech detailed. [BROCK - comments.] Party leaders' concern over conservatives said acknowledged off the record.
