(Studio) Arizona state authorities said meeting with officials of Mexico, El Salvador and others to discuss plight of El Salvadorans who survived desert experience after illegally entering US; number who died recalled.

(Why, Arizona) Efforts by Arizona town to help El Salvadorans get asylum in US examined. [Reverend Gilbert TAEGER - says group deserves freedom.] Reports that group was abandoned in desert by their paid Mexican guides said now denied. [Lieutenant D.L. BOSMAN - explains why it was accidental disaster.] Mexicans said held for smuggling; details given.
