(NYC) Champion's latest show, "42nd Street", noted playing on Broadway; his career recalled. Scenes from "Showboat", courtesy Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, "Hello Dolly" shown. Cast and audience of "42nd Street" noted told of Champion's death after performance. [Producer David MERRICK - announces death; transcribed on screen.] Champion's friend and show's leading lady Wanda Richert and performer Jerry Orbach mentioned, shown as news is announced.
