(Studio) End to Somoza-family dynasty in Nicaragua last year recalled; assassination today of General Anastasio Somoza in Asuncion, Paraguay, reported.

[US embassy spokesperson Donna OGLESBY - describes scene.] Somoza associate, Representative John Murphy, noted claiming killers were Communist-inspired representatives of Sandinista guerrillas. [MURPHY - comments on Tomas Borge.] Somoza's flight from Nicaragua, amount of aid Sandinista regime has received from Carter administration so far mentioned; shooting of Somoza's father, allegedly in retaliation for shooting of Augusto Sandino, recalled; photos shown. Somoza family's rule also recalled. Arrival of the dictator's long-time companion Dinorah Sampson noted, shown.
