(DC) Despite assurances to contrary by Nicaraguan government, United States reported believing shipments of MiG fighters and Soviet tanks due to arrive soon. Crates reported sighted in Cuban port; shipping in area noted under surveillance. Pressure on President Reagan said to be building to prevent arms from reaching Nicaragua. Respective positions on issue of Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger and Sec. State Alexander Haig discussed.
