(Studio) Earlier OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) increases said now showing up in United States inflation statistics. Small rise in producer price index noted.

(NYC) Drop in wholesale price of food reported Rise in auto prices reported, as well as in wholesale gasoline prices. Gasoline prices, however, said actually down, as with home heating oil. [Chairperson Association of Purchasing Mgt. Charles HAFFEY - expresses optimism with regard to price situation in near future.] Inflation said generally better.
