(San Mateo, California: Jerry Bowen) A scam involving the use of credit card "skimmers," which record names, account numbers and other identifying information from a card's magnetic stripes, to steal from card holders examined; details given about the easy availability of skimmers and an incident involving a terrorist plot to bomb Los Angeles International Airport using money obtained from skimming. [Identity theft victim Lynn JANATPOUR†- comments on withdrawals from her account after using her credit card at a gas station in San Mateo, California.] [Gas station owner Jounir KARDOSH†- says he is hurt that it was his relative who committed the crime.] [Prosecutor Howard WISE†- says you can be compromised anywhere you use your credit card.] [Magtek Lou STRUETT†- comments on anti-theft technology.]
