(Los Angeles: Vince Gonzales) A possible link between hormones given to cattle, including Zeranol, and breast cancer featured; Zeranol manufacturer Schering-Plough’s response quoted. [University of Florida biologist Lou GUILLETTE- says we know that hormones used in cattle production are estrogens and breast cancer is dependent upon estrogen.] [The Breast Cancer Fund founder Andrea MARTIN- comments on the increase in breast cancer cases.] [National Cattlemen’s Beef Assn. Gary WEBER- says he is confident that beef is safe & wholesome for consumers.]
