(Atlanta: Miles O'Brien) An experiment into whether a single piece of fast-moving foam insulation brought down the space shuttle Columbia featured; test of a wing section & video from Columbia in flight shown. [Columbia accident investigation board Scott HUBBARD- says this confirms foam can damage the carbon panel; states it is too early to draw a conclusion about the crack found in the test.] NASA's earlier decision that the foam that came off Columbia & hit the wing was not a problem discussed.
