[Senator Ron WYDEN†- says taxpayers aren’t getting their money’s worth.]

(White House: David Gregory) The controversy over the administration’s policy of barring countries that did not support the Iraq war from bidding on reconstruction projects featured; details given of the impact on the mission of special envoy James Baker, tapped to deal with the issue of Iraq’s foreign debt. [President BUSH – says that contracting will reflect that coalition forces risk their lives.] [U.N. Secretary General Kofi ANNAN – criticizes the US policy.] [Senator Joseph BIDEN†- says we need help to internationalize things in Iraq.]

William ADAMSON†- comments on supporting the Iraqi police when they’ve taken the lead in an operation.] [4th Infantry Division Lt. Col. Steve RUSSELL†- comments on the success of the raids.] Injuries to “Time” magazine journalists Michael Weisskopf† & James Nachtwey† in a grenade attack noted.
