(Pentagon: Jamie McIntyre) The possible cornering of Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in the province of Waziristan in Pakistan featured; details given about the nearby US military offensive code-named Operation Mountain Storm. [On "Paula Zahn Now," Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Richard MYERS†- says capturing Zawahiri will end the terrorism.] [Military analyst Gen. David GRANGE†- warns someone could get away from the Pakistani troops.]

(Islamabad: Aaron Brown, Ash-Har Quaraishi; Pentagon: Jamie McIntyre; Kabul: Ryan Chilcote) The reasons why Zawahiri might be with the 200 Al Qaeda fighters surrounded by the Pakistani operation, the US concerns about the rising expectations that Zawahiri is there, the extent of the weaponry the Pakistani army has, the hope that the Pakistan military pressure will at least push Al Qaeda fighters into Afghanistan where the US is operating with the Afghan army discussed.

(White House: Suzanne Malveaux) The administration's position on the possible capture of Zawahiri examined.
