(Los Angeles: Anita Vogel) The California Supreme Court ruling that a Catholic charity must provide health coverage for birth control examined; details given about critics’ arguments that Catholics should not have to pay for health plans which include provision for birth control, since they don’t support the use of contraceptives, and the national implications of the ruling. [California Catholic Conference’s Ned DOLESJI- says the ruling is disrespectful and wrong.] [Planned Parenthood’s Martha SWILLER- says they are celebrating the victory.]
